The Fifty Plus Club of the Chesters
The Fifty Plus Club of the Chesters invites all senior citizens of Chester Township, Chester Borough and Washington Township to join. The objective of the club is to provide social activities and to share educational and recreational programs. Programs vary and include speakers, entertainment and parties. Regularly planned activities are miniature golf, bowling, going out to lunch, and attending theater productions.
Meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in the Presbyterian Church Hall, Main Street, Chester. The business meeting begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. followed by a program of interest. You might want to bring a sandwich for lunch; coffee and cake are provided. Come to a meeting to learn more about us, join us, make new friends, and have a good time.
If you have questions about the club, please contact Mary Weippert at 908-876-3737.

The Chester Township Police Department would like to make residents aware of a program offered by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office called Project Lifesaver. The Project Lifesaver program is a free service offered by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office and is aimed at providing enhanced support and assistance to Morris County residents who are primary caregivers for an individual suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder as well as families of children afflicted with Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries or cognitive impairments. These individuals might be prone to wander away from home and become confused or lost. Project Lifesaver allows for a proactive response by law enforcement if this happens. This not only saves time and manpower but also, gives caregivers and families peace of mind and reassurance that all possible resources will be utilized in the effort to locate and return their loved one home safely.” Click here to learn more.
