Due to COVID-19, New Jersey Elections will be primarily Vote-By-Mail. In-person polling locations will be very limited on Primary Election Day. If you go to a polling place, you will only be allowed to vote using a provisional (paper) ballot.
Vote by Mail:
Make sure your ballot is mailed and postmarked by July 7. If you prefer, you can place your ballot in one of the five ballot drop boxes located in Morris County. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are red, white & blue and display “Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box.”
The Vote-By-Mail ballots (VBMs) will be picked up on a daily basis and brought to the BOE. All Security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the VBMs. VBM Drop Boxes will be closed at 8:00 pm, close of polls on Tuesday, July 7.

If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, vote at a polling place on election day, where you’ll be given a headset and accessible device to allow you to cast your votes.
Chester Township’s polling location for all wards/districts is the Highlands Ridge Barn, 100 North Road, Chester. Again, there will be NO voting machines at this location, only paper ballots.
