Controlled Burn at Black River WMA

From NJDEP Fish & Wildlife: The Bureau of Land Management is conducting habitat management at the office fields at Black River Wildlife Management Area off of Ironia Road beginning Tuesday, March 19th.
Working collaboratively with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, several large brush piles of nonnative vegetation will be burned to make room for native habitat plantings. You may notice smoke in the air for the next few days.
NJDEP Fish & Wildlife sincerely appreciates your patience and understanding while this work is completed.
