*****PUBLIC NOTICE*****
As of Friday, October 20, 2023, we will no longer be accepting unused and/or expired prescription medications; however, a list of alternate local drop off sites has been posted in the lobby at police headquarters. Please note that we will continue to participate in the DEA’s National Drug Takeback days every April and October, with the next one scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10am to 2pm at police headquarters.
We apologize for any inconvenience but appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
The residents of Chester Township may bring unused or expired medication to police headquarters for disposal. This provides residents with the opportunity to safely dispose of their unwanted household pharmaceuticals year round.
MedReturn is a stand-alone unit into which expired or unused prescription drugs can be dropped. The units are firmly fastened to a secure surface in the police station, where they are monitored 24/7 and are checked regularly, with the items collected and then properly destroyed.
REMINDER no syringes or liquids please.
