It is the mission of the Chester Township Police Department to serve all members of our community with professionalism, duty, valor, integrity, discretion, respect, courtesy, and accountability. The members of the Chester Township Police Department are men and women of character and compassion.  We value ethical behavior, competence, and a strong work ethic, and every member of our department is dedicated to the safety and well-being of the communities we serve.

The department is staffed by 22 full-time officers, 4 part-time officers assigned to our public schools, and one civilian staff member.  On January 1, 2017, the Chester Township Police Department began providing contracted police services to Chester Borough.

We pride ourselves on being proactive, community-focused, and a reliable partner in making Chester a better place to live, work, and visit.
