Bear-Proof Garbage Cans

Chester Township is scheduled to receive 166 bear-resistant garbage cans from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), which is delayed until sometime in December. To manage distribution in a fair and efficient manner, Chester Township residents were asked to fill out an application. Due to the volume of applications received, we will be using a lottery process to determine which residents will receive the cans. More info to come.
