JCPL Grid Upgrades Coming Soon

JCPL is going to begin a major upgrade to the Pleasant Hill Substation and related infrastructure that should dramatically increase the reliability of our electrical grid for residents in Chester Township. This work involves cross-connecting areas of Chester to be able to feed power from multiple points in the event power goes down to minimize the scale of the outage. Multiple wires and poles will be replaced and switches will be modernized. Read more here.
