Black River Fields Grand Opening

After several years of diligent efforts to grade, level, and improve the turf quality, we are pleased to announce that the Black River Fields in Chester are now open for recreational use. Chester lacrosse players took a break and joined Mayor Mike Inganamort, County Commissioner John Krickus, Councilman Tim Drag, Environmenal Commission member Charles Happel, and Parks Consultant Bill Foelsch at the fields on Friday, April 21 for a formal ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. Mayor Inganamort spoke and thanked volunteers, professionals, Morris County, and former mayor Marcia Asdal for their hard work in bringing this project to fruition. May Chester's young athletes enjoy safe and happy play for years to come!
